WHAT SHOULD I BRING?
You will want to bring casual wear, a bathing suit and personal care items. As access to the sites and waterfront are via rustic trails, rain gear, performance wear and hiking boots are recommended. Each cabin is designed to deliver hotel-like amenities, with bed linens, towels, soaps and shampoos provided
ARE MEALS PROVIDED?
You are responsible for your own meals. Each cabin is equipped with stove top, bar fridge, BBQ, cookware, dishes, coffee, and basic cooking staples. Pine Brae is located within 30min of Perth, Westport and Smith Falls, heritage towns offering a variety of options for dining out
CAN I PARK AT MY SITE?
The sites are accessed by foot from the communal parking lot. Your host will be available to bring luggage to your site
ARE CHILDREN ALLOWED?
Guests of Pine Brae must be a minimum of 18 years of age
CAN I BRING MY DOG?
Pets are not permitted at Pine Brae
ARE OUTDOOR VISITORS ALLOWED?
Outside guests are not permitted. All cabins are double occupancy only. In order to maintain guest privacy and tranquility we do not allow visitors during your stay
IS THERE A GROCERY STORE NEARBY?
Pine Brae is ideally located between the fully serviced towns of Perth and Smiths Falls
DO YOU HAVE WIFI?
Wifi is not available on site. Cell phones do get moderately good service depending on your provider
HOW MUCH ELECTRICITY CAN I USE?
The solar panels generate enough power to run lights, refrigerator and ceiling fan. Conserving energy is a priority. We ask guests to refrain from bringing any electronic/plug-in devices besides a cell phone or laptop charger. Electric hair care devices/irons and any devices with heating elements require significant power and are prohibited
ARE THE CABINS HEATED?
The cabins have a small propane furnace for supplementary heat during the cooler months. Warm clothing is still recommended when booking in early spring or late fall
ARE WATERCRAFT AND LIFEJACKETS PROVIDED?
Lifejackets are provided. There are 2 canoes and 4 kayaks available on a first come, first served basis
ARE THERE TICKS ON THE PROPERTY?
There are ticks in the area. It is recommended that guests stay on the trails at Pine Brae and avoid walking through brush or tall grass. Bug repellent containing DEET is recommended
WHAT IF I NEED HELP?
Your host is on site and is available as much or as little as you would like 24 hours a day
WHAT IS YOUR CANCELLATION POLICY?
90% Refund up to 30 days prior to reservation date. 50% refund up to 14 days prior. Reservation is non-refundable within 14 days of arrival date. Should Pine Brae be mandated to close due to Covid-19 restrictions a full refund will be issued
DO I HAVE TO SIGN A WAIVER?
All guests are required to sign our liability waiver upon arrival. A copy is sent to guests with your invoice for review prior to payment. A PDF copy of our waiver can be found in the footer of the website.
